Information Technology, software and computer companies are certainly not without their share of poor executive decisions and mismanagement.  While dozens of notable examples could have made our list, these were by far the top top 10 worst in the history of the technology industry, causing many billions of dollars of lost revenue or resulted in the downfall of entire companies.

Man, I ran into this just once and I decided to just convert over to the Comcast business plan where I get unlimited data plus business class service (4 hour response time) and I have to say, I sleep better knowing that my kids and all there movie watching and music streaming will not get me shut off.

Today I came home to find my 15 MB down/3 MB up Comcast broadband service had been shut off due to exceeding their 250 GB/month data cap policy.

This had happened the month before, and I called and had a polite but irritated conversation with Comcast's "Customer Security" department (since the regular customer service folks could not help.) According to them I had exceeded their 250 GB monthly cap, and they asked how that might have happened.

Good riddance...

A Minnesota hacker prosecutors described as a “depraved criminal” was handed an 18-year prison term Tuesday for unleashing a vendetta of cyberterror that turned his neighbors’ lives into a living nightmare.

Barry Ardolf, 46, repeatedly hacked into his next-door neighbors’ Wi-Fi network in 2009, and used it to try and frame them for child pornography, sexual harassment, various kinds of professional misconduct and to  send threatening e-mail to politicians, including Vice President Joe Biden.

His motive was to get back at his new neighbors after they told the police he’d kissed their 4-year-old son on the lips.

I just took alook at it and it looks pretty nice I have to say.

YouTube is testing a gorgeous new redesign of its website called Cosmic Panda, which features an overhauled user interface, less white space and additional customization of YouTube channels.

Despite being the most popular online video service in the world, YouTube’s current website design is not very appealing compared to other streaming video sites. The current site is cluttered with hyperlinks and video thumbnails. The white background is the brightest portion of the page, which distracts users from the video-watching experience. Also, navigation tool bars and menus are more complex than necessary.
